Canvas
From Winter/Semester 2, 2025, most courses have moved to Canvas, our new Learning Management System (LMS). Find out more about the transition to Canvas.
In Canvas, there is a separate site for each course you are enrolled in with key information such as: assessment details; grades; tutorial enrolments; lecture recordings; weekly readings; course updates; announcements and other learning materials as well as collaboration spaces. You can set up notifications within Canvas to help you stay updated.
If your course is not appearing in Canvas, it may be one of the small number of courses still being taught through our previous LMS, Wattle (see below).

- Turnitin practice site, to understand when to reference, how to quote and paraphrase appropriately and to practice using Turnitin before submitting your assignments,
- to set-up and practice using Proctorio for an online exam (if required for your course). Be sure to practice and check Proctorio works well before your exam starts.
*You may need to login to Wattle and click the Self enrolment (Student) link to access these courses. If you end up back at your Wattle Dashboard in this process, come back and click the links here again.
In some courses lecturers may opt to use additional platforms to share course information. For these courses, Wattle or Canvas will contain the links to access these other sites. If you are unsure of how to access your course materials, check first on your courses Wattle or Canvas site for the relevant information, and contact your tutor or lecturer if you need further assistance.
On campus spaces for remote participation
There are many learning spaces on campus where students can participate in remote classes. The ANU , , and individual schools offer a range of spaces for students on both a drop-in and booking basis.
Melville Hall has been modified specifically to make space available for students to participate in remote classes while they are on campus. There are individual cubicles as well as group spaces in a warm environment, with good wifi access. Students will be able to use their own ear buds or headphones and talk quietly while they participate in remotely delivered classes.
